Breakfast – Burrito
There are plenty of gluten free tortillas on the market. Look for them, or turn this into a corn taco option (gluten free of course). If you really can’t go this route, or just don’t find it, then you can try to create a tortilla with eggs, although it can be a bit tough. Whatever the case is, look to mix spinach, avocado, tomatoes, and green bell pepper. These all mixed up with a few eggs will give you a nice breakfast that mixes a lot of flavors. Top with cilantro and just a tiny bit of lime, and you’ll enjoy this change up.
Lunch – Sweet Potato Nachos
Replace your tortilla chips with potato chips made from sweet potato slices. This may knock you back at first, but it’s going to give you a great opportunity to mix things up in this paleo-style dish. Instead of focusing on cheese, look into lean ground beef (grass fed is best), and a slew of options. Dice onions, tomatoes, garlic, and you have some nice flavors working. Furthermore, get some avocado and lime, and add cilantro on top. Then add a little bit of salsa or hot sauce and you have an opportunity to enjoy a great lunch treat with incredible flavors.
Snack – Berry Smoothie
Here is a quick snack that will lighten up the weight of the meals you’ve had today, and give you a good tasting treat. Mix several berries with coconut milk and water. Add a banana for some great potassium, and if you need a protein boost, add your favorite powder. Blend this up, and you will have a nice snack that won’t really feel like you’re on a diet or anything like that. Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and banana all work well together with this.
Dinner – Shrimp Wraps
Perhaps one of the most versatile options that you are going to get with this plan is the wrap concept. Wrapping lettuce around shrimp can be a good option. A good shrimp scampi can always allow you to get a taste of seafood in your mix. As for a nice side, try to work with Brussel sprouts that have been sautéed with some pancetta which can help give you a bit of a treat as you mix things up for this dinner concept.
If you can make it through Wednesday, you can definitely maintain a healthy lifestyle. That 3 day cycle is rough at first, but it’s going to give you a healthy boost when going forward.
